Fasting blood glucose test should not be conducted before drinking water.

Fasting blood glucose test should be conducted without eating for a long time. Drinking water before testing, especially drinking a lot of water, may lead to dilution of blood, which may make the detected blood glucose value lower than the actual blood glucose level, thus interfering with the judgment of true blood glucose status
