Examination method of meningeal irritation sign

Meningeal irritation signs are examined by the neck flexion test, Bruzinski test, and Koenig's sign. Meningeal irritation signs may be positive for meningitis, encephalitis, or brain tumor caused by bacterial or viral infection. If bacterial infection causes meningeal irritation, antibiotics may be prescribed.
