Keratosis of hair follicle and hair periphery

Peri-pilar keratosis and follicular keratosis belong to the same group of diseases, but they are not exactly the same. Peri-pilar keratosis usually develops in childhood, gradually worsens, and improves in adulthood, with symmetrical distribution of lesions. However, follicular keratosis can occur at any age.
