Meningioma is a
brain tumor that occurs in arachnoid cap cells and occurs in the convex, skull base, and parasellar regions of the cerebral hemisphere. Early meningiomas are small and slow to grow, without significant compression of surrounding brain tissue, and generally do not feel uncomfortable. However, as the tumor gradually increases in size, it may compress or erode the surrounding brain tissue, causing intracranial pressure to rise, which in turn may cause headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, unequal pupil size, diplopia and other symptoms.
