Nephritis anemia?

Nephritis can lead to anemia. The kidneys secrete a hormone called erythropoietin, which promotes red blood cell production. When the kidneys become inflamed, kidney function is affected, resulting in insufficient erythropoietin production, which in turn affects red blood cell production and ultimately anemia.

Secondly, dialysis treatment may be needed for some patients with severe renal failure. Long-term dialysis may lead to insufficient nutrition intake, nutrient absorption disorder and iron metabolism disorder, which may lead to anemia.
