How to test for diabetes at home

Diabetes can be diagnosed at home by observing clinical symptoms and blood glucose monitoring.

1. Observing clinical symptoms

The common symptoms of diabetes include polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia and weight loss. If the above symptoms occur, diabetes may exist and need attention.

2. Blood glucose monitoring

is an important method to determine whether diabetes exists. It is recommended to conduct blood glucose testing on an empty stomach in the morning. If blood glucose exceeds the normal range, further medical examination may be required.

If symptoms of diabetes or abnormal blood glucose occur, medical examination should be conducted promptly.
