How does liver cancer form?

The causes of liver cancer are not very clear at present. Generally, it is related to hepatitis virus infection, genetics, smoking and alcoholism.

1. Hepatitis virus infection

Hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus infection are common causes of liver cancer in China, mainly because hepatitis virus infection causes chronic hepatitis, gradually develops into cirrhosis, and then progresses into liver cancer.

2. Genetic

liver cancer has certain family aggregation phenomenon, generally related to genetic susceptibility, family eating habits and living environment.

3. Smoking and

alcohol are highly irritating to the liver, and tobacco also contains more carcinogens, so long-term smoking and alcohol abuse are at high risk of liver cancer.
