Does stomach cancer cause fever?

Restoring health, one step at a time.
Gastric cancer
is a malignant tumor originating from the gastric mucosa or proper glands, including adenocarcinoma, undifferentiated cancer and other types. In the early stage of the disease, because the tumor size is small, it generally does not cause obvious symptoms, nor does it cause fever. With the disease progression, when the gastric cancer is in the middle and late stages, due to the rapid growth rate and large size of the tumor, it can lead to local tissue necrosis due to ischemia and hypoxia. In the process of absorption of necrotic substances, it can be manifested as fever.
After the diagnosis of the disease, patients should be treated in a timely manner when they meet the surgical indications, and with adjuvant therapy such as radiotherapy and targeted therapy, which can improve the prognosis.
