Sex hormone is a kind of steroid hormone caused by gonad, placenta and adrenal cortical reticular zone in the body. Its main function is to promote the development of sexual organs, accessory sexual characteristics and maintain sexual function. Female sex hormone includes estrogen and progesterone. Male sex hormone is mainly androgen.
