Caries in children can be divided into shallow caries, moderate caries and deep caries. Shallow caries is the appearance of black spots on the tooth surface. Probes can be used to find obvious caries holes. Patients do not feel pain and can be filled. Medium caries has developed to dentin and will sting when eating too cold and hot food. Deep caries is embedded pain when biting food.
