Appendiceal artery originates from superior mesenteric artery, belonging to terminal branch of ileocolic artery.
Appendiceal artery can supply blood and nutrients to appendix. ileocolic artery is a branch of superior mesenteric artery, while appendix artery is a branch of ileocolic artery. It passes through ileocolic artery and reaches around cecum, and then enters appendix mesentery through ileocolic branch. It belongs to terminal artery.
