Can parents inherit cancer?

If a parent has cancer, then the probability of passing it on to their child is about a few ten-thousand times. For example, if a mother has breast cancer, then the probability of a daughter showing breast cancer is several times or ten times higher than that of ordinary people, but it does not necessarily show up. Because the occurrence of any tumor involves allelic mutations, the popular explanation is that both genes that need to be aligned are mutated. Parents pass on alleles to their children, and only one of the alleles shows a problem. Another allele shows a mutation under the influence of the environment and thus causes cancer. If this allele does not show mutations all the time, it will not show cancer, which means that the child only carries the cancer gene.
