Ureteral stricture stent placement is permanent

Ureteral stricture is usually not permanent.

The purpose of stent placement is to open the stricture to restore patency of the ureter and allow urine to pass normally. The stent is usually a tubular structure made of metal or plastic material that forms a bridge within the ureter, but the stent does not fundamentally solve the ureteral stricture. It only provides a temporary solution. If the stent is placed for a long time, it may cause some complications, such as infection, migration, stent blockage, etc., so this method is generally not permanent.
