The most common type of esophageal cancer

Esophageal cancer is a common malignant tumor of the digestive system. Our country is an area with a high incidence of esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer occurs most frequently in the Taihang Mountains of our country. Among them, Lin County, Henan Province has the highest incidence of esophageal cancer in the world. Esophageal cancer is divided into squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and small cell undifferentiated carcinoma according to microscopic pathology, of which squamous cell carcinoma is the most common. Esophageal cancer is divided into interstitial type, mushroom type, ulcer type and constrictive type according to gross pathology, of which medullary type is the most common. Esophageal cancer can be divided into cervical esophageal cancer, upper thoracic esophageal cancer, middle thoracic esophageal cancer and lower thoracic esophageal cancer according to the site of incidence, among which middle thoracic esophageal cancer is the most common.
