Early kidney cancer never recurs. This is inaccurate. For early kidney cancer patients, surgery is usually used to treat them, such as nephron-sparing surgery or radical nephrectomy. We can think of early kidney cancer surgery as a means of curing kidney cancer, but if kidney cancer surgery never recurs, it is not guaranteed. Clinically, there are indeed some patients with early kidney cancer who do not relapse for life after treatment, but this does not mean that all patients will not show recurrence. Some patients may relapse within five years, and some patients may relapse after 5 to 10 years.
