B-mode Ultrasonographic Features of Undifferentiated Thyroid Carcinoma

Undifferentiated thyroid cancer is one of the most malignant thyroid cancers and has the worst treatment effect. Generally, the survival period may not be long, and many of them are already advanced. Undifferentiated thyroid cancer can be initially diagnosed by B-ultrasound. Often, abnormal enlarged thyroid tissue and surrounding tissues are fused under B-ultrasound, and there may be unclear boundaries, and cancer may involve trachea, esophagus, lymph nodes, etc. If there are lymph node metastases in other parts of the neck, there will also be hard lumps of fusion. If undifferentiated thyroid cancer can be operated on, surgery can be considered, but in most cases, surgery is lost. only radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be considered to control the condition.
