How long can a pelvic fracture sit?

Restoring health, one step at a time.
Pelvic fractures usually take 6 to 8 weeks to attempt sitting up, but the exact time varies from person to person.
Pelvic fractures vary in type and severity. For minor fractures, recovery may be relatively quick, and with proper treatment and rest, sitting may occur in about 6 weeks; for complex conditions such as severe comminuted fractures, recovery may take longer, and it may take 8 weeks or more to attempt sitting up. Surgical and non-surgical treatments also affect recovery. Surgery can better reduce and fix the fracture site, help early recovery, but it also needs a certain time to heal after surgery; non-surgical treatment requires longer braking, and the time to sit up will be delayed accordingly. But everyone's physical condition, age, nutritional status, etc. are different.
