What does soft tissue tumor mean?

Soft tissue malignant tumors, also known as tissue sarcomas, account for only about 1% of all malignant tumors. In childhood, soft tissue sarcomas rank fourth in incidence after leukemia, brain tumors and lymphoma. The most common soft tissue sarcomas are fibrosarcomas, synovial sarcomas, isothermal myomas, liposarcomas, leiomyosarcoma and mesothelioma. The soft tissue tumor has many kinds of names, especially the pathomorphology of soft tissue malignant tumor. With the continuous improvement of its understanding, its pathological name is often changed, which is more difficult for clinical workers to deal with than other malignant tumors. Recently, there are new changes in the pathological classification of soft tissue tumor, and some tumors such as synovial sarcoma are renamed as malignant tendon sheath giant cell tumor, which is not found in any other tumor.
