How to classify the severity of bladder tumors

Bladder cancer can be divided into two major categories: superficial non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and muscle invasive bladder cancer. Superficial, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, which is less severe and less life-threatening, can be removed with minimally invasive transurethral resection. This superficial tumor has a characteristic, that is, it is relatively easy to relapse, but it often recurs and can also be resected. Although there are a few cases, it will continue to progress after electroresection. For muscle invasive bladder cancer, it poses a serious threat to the patient's life. Muscle invasive bladder cancer is prone to lymph node metastasis, liver metastasis, lung metastasis and skeletal metastasis. once it shows metastasis, the patient's prognosis is very poor.
