The cure rate of gastric adenocarcinoma mainly depends on its pathological type and TNM stage. At present, gastric cancer is the most common malignant tumor of stomach, and radical resection is the only treatment method that may be cured. According to the current clinical statistics, the five-year survival rate or cure rate of TNM stage gastric cancer can reach more than 70%, and even 90% is reported. After radical resection combined with postoperative chemotherapy, the five-year survival rate of stage II gastric cancer can reach 50%-70%. Stage III can reach 30%-50%, while for stage IV gastric cancer, that is, advanced gastric cancer, the cure rate is normally less than 10%.
