Cancer of jaw occurs from the residual cells of enamel epithelium of tooth germ. It is divided into squamous cell carcinoma and glandular epithelial carcinoma. The latter is more common. The early symptoms of jaw cancer are not obvious, gradually toothache, local pain, and even numbness of lower lip. It occurs in mandible, mainly in mandibular molar area. X-ray early shows diffuse bone destruction shadow in apical area, affecting bone cortex, buccal and lingual masses, regional lymph node metastasis, and poor prognosis.
