Can uterine fibroids become cancerous?

Uterine fibroids may be cancerous, but the possibility is low.

Uterine fibroids are caused by genetic, high estrogen and progesterone levels, stem cell mutations and other reasons, which are benign tumors. After menopause, when the hormone levels in the patient decrease, uterine fibroids may shrink or regress, and less cancer will occur.
