Symptoms of vocal cord cancer

The first symptom is hoarseness. Persistent hoarseness is the main early symptom of vocal cord cancer. about 80% to 90% of patients will show hoarseness, because the vocal cords are a very delicate organ. once a tumor grows, it will cause the vocal cords to be blocked. The voice will change. If the hoarseness occurs for unknown reasons and lasts for more than two weeks, it should be treated as soon as possible. The second symptom is difficulty breathing. As the tumor grows, it may block the trachea and cause breathing difficulties. The third symptom is throat pain. If the vocal cord cancer is widespread, it will show sore throat and difficulty swallowing. The fourth symptom is difficulty swallowing. Swallowing pain is caused by the tumor invading the tongue base and throat tissue. The fifth symptom is a cough that does not heal for a long time or coughing up blood. Cough with blood in sputum is caused by increased secretion of ulceration and inflammation of cancer tissue retained in the trachea and throat.
