What is duodenal gastritis?

Duodenitis refers to acute or chronic inflammation of the duodenum, which is related to the enhancement of stimulation factors such as excessive gastric acid secretion. Under endoscopy, mucosal congestion, edema or frost-like erosion in the duodenal bulb or descending segment can be seen. Patients often show dyspeptic symptoms such as epigastric discomfort, dull pain, acid reflux and fullness clinically. Some patients 'symptoms are relieved after meals, similar to the clinical manifestations of duodenal ulcer. Treatment is mainly to remove the incentive to stimulate gastric acid secretion, and at the same time, use proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole and drugs that promote gastrointestinal motility for symptomatic treatment.
