Herpes simplex type 1 IgG value is very high what does it mean

Guiding you towards a healthier tomorrow.
A high level of IgG indicates a previous infection with HSV-1.
HSV-1 is a common virus and infection is common in people. When a person is first infected with the virus, the immune system produces antibodies, including IgG antibodies. IgG antibody production indicates that the body has developed immune memory for the virus. A high IgG level indicates a past infection, but does not necessarily mean that there is a current active infection. It simply reflects past exposure to the virus and immune response. Although the IgG value is high, it needs to be judged in combination with clinical symptoms. If there are no related symptoms, such as blisters and pain around the lips, special treatment is usually not required, just continue to observe.
