Endometrial biopsy is mainly used to evaluate endometrial lesions, diagnose the cause of infertility, evaluate menstrual abnormalities, etc.
1. To evaluate endometrial lesions,
endometrial biopsy helps to evaluate the pathological state of the endometrium by examining the cytological and histological characteristics of tissue samples, including excluding or confirming endometrial cancer, endometrial hyperplasia, endometriosis, etc.
2. To diagnose the cause of infertility, endometrial
biopsy evaluates the thickness, cell morphology and hormone receptor expression of the endometrium.
3. To evaluate menstrual abnormalities,
endometrial biopsy examines endometrial tissue samples to help determine the cause of menstrual abnormalities, such as determining whether there is endometriosis, endometrial hyperplasia, etc.
