How thick the endometrium can be cancerous

There is no clinical explanation about how thick the endometrium is, but when the endometrium thickens more than 12mm, accompanied by multiple clinical symptoms, cancer usually occurs.

The thickness of the endometrium can change according to the menstrual cycle. Under normal circumstances, the thickness of the endometrium before menstruation will be relatively thick, which will help the menstrual endometrium to fall off. Therefore, simple endometrial thickening is not directly related to cancer. However, if the thickness of the endometrium gradually exceeds 12mm, or even reaches 15mm, accompanied by prolonged repeated vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, abdominal pain and other symptoms, it will usually increase the probability of cancer.
