What causes itching in the external auditory canal?

External auditory canal itching may be considered as acute otitis externa, mostly caused by repeated ear cleaning or bacterial breeding caused by water in the external auditory canal. However, it is not excluded that neurosis occurs in the ear. It is recommended that the patient go to the hospital in time for perfect examination and treatment after clarifying the cause.
