What does double lung texture mean?

The patient has increased lung markings, which is an imaging finding that may not be caused by disease in the first place, but by long-term smoking. If not caused by long-term smoking, it may be caused by chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, or cough caused by upper respiratory tract infection.
