Omeprazole enteric-coated capsules for enteritis?

Omeprazole enteric-coated capsules are mainly used to treat gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, reflux esophagitis, stress ulcer and gastrinoma. Omeprazole enteric-coated capsules can also eradicate Helicobacter pylori if combined with two antibiotics such as amoxicillin, metronidazole, clarithromycin and furazolidone. Omeprazole enteric-coated capsules are first-generation proton pump inhibitors. Their main function is to inhibit gastric acid secretion and increase pH value in the stomach. Therefore, omeprazole enteric-coated capsules cannot be used to treat enteritis. If the patient has enteritis, it should be treated for the cause of enteritis. For example, if infectious enteritis, antibiotics should be used for treatment.
