Blood test can check out syphilis?

Syphilis can not be detected by routine blood test. The main

items of routine blood test include white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets and other related indicators. Its purpose is to reflect the general health status of the body, such as inflammation, anemia, blood system diseases, etc., but these indicators are not directly related to syphilis infection.

Syphilis detection requires special examination methods for syphilis pathogens, such as Treponema pallidum specific antibody test, non-specific antibody test, etc. These tests can accurately determine whether syphilis infection.

Syphilis has its specific transmission route and clinical manifestations. The results of routine blood test alone cannot diagnose and evaluate syphilis. For suspected syphilis infection, targeted syphilis serological test should be carried out.

Clinical diagnosis of the disease requires a comprehensive combination of test results and clinical symptoms. Routine blood test cannot replace the role of special syphilis test items in the diagnosis of syphilis.
