Women can go to hospital for medical abortion within 49 days of pregnancy. Generally, oral mifepristone tablets are required to terminate pregnancy on the first day and the second day of medical abortion. Oral misoprostol is required to promote uterine contractions on the third day. Female pregnancy sac is discharged within 24 hours after oral misoprostol. Pregnancy sac discharge represents successful termination of pregnancy.
