What is the difference between breast nodules and calcifications?

Passionate about making a difference.
1. Natural absorption of
calcified material in breast nodules may be absorbed by breast tissue within a certain period of time, resulting in the disappearance of calcifications. This usually occurs in benign nodules, such as cystic hyperplasia of the breast.
2. Imaging technology limitations Sometimes
calcifications may still exist, but due to imaging technology limitations, they cannot be clearly displayed. For example, if the nodule is small or difficult to observe, calcifications may appear to disappear.
3. False diagnosis
In some cases, the initial detection of calcifications may be wrong, but there is no actual calcification, which may be caused by errors in medical imaging interpretation or other reasons.
