What does stomach heavy bowel metaplasia mean?

Your health, my unwavering commitment.
Intestinal metaplasia is a morphological change that occurs in chronic gastritis. The main histopathological features are inflammation, atrophy, and intestinal metaplasia. Intestinal metaplasia is divided into small intestine and large intestine types, characterized by the replacement of gastric proper glands by intestinal gland-like glands. If it progresses further, the metaplastic intestinal epithelium undergoes dysplasia during regeneration and can form dysplasia. If severe intestinal metaplasia is achieved, it must be highly vigilant for development into dysplasia, i.e., precancerous lesions of gastric cancer. If you are infected with Helicobacter pylori for a long time, or it is easy to cause gastric cancer under some inducement, you need to deal with it in time at the early stage of cancer, such as gastroscopy under gastric mucosa resection.
