Neurogenic tinnitus refers to the subjective feeling of abnormal sounds in the ears or head.
Neurogenic tinnitus is mainly manifested as subjective tinnitus, that is, in the absence of external sounds or stimuli, only the patient can hear the ears or head. Abnormal sounds are usually described by patients as bells, buzzes, cicadas or whistles, etc., which can occur intermittently or continuously, are often accompanied by symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and hearing loss, and sometimes can seriously affect the patient's daily work and rest. Neurotic tinnitus is not related to factors such as auditory neuropathy, Meniere disease, brain stem tumors, etc.; secondly, long-term exposure to noise or mental stress, bad mood, can also induce neurotic tinnitus.
