Is dry lips diabetes?

Dry lips are not necessarily diabetes. Typical symptoms of diabetes are dry mouth, polydipsia, polyuria and weight loss. Dry mouth is a common complaint of diabetes. When patients show symptoms of dry mouth, polydipsia and polyuria, it is recommended to diagnose them in combination with their blood sugar. Patients with fasting blood sugar above 7.0 mmol/L and blood sugar above 11.1 mmol/L two hours after meals can be diagnosed as diabetes.
