Why tonsil stones?

The cause of tonsillitis has not been determined, but it is generally believed that it is related to chronic tonsillitis, crypt orifice blockage and other reasons, as follows:

1. Chronic tonsillitis

If the patient has chronic inflammation in the tonsil for a long time, inflammation may lead to cell necrosis, and mixed with mucus and other secretions deposited locally, thus forming tonsillitis.

2. Crypt orifice blockage

Foreign matter, fibrous tissue adhesion and other reasons may lead to tonsillar crypt orifice blockage. If exfoliated epithelial cells, food residues, secretions and other substances accumulate in crypt depression, stones may gradually form over time.
