What is the relationship between hypoglycemia and diabetes?

Hypoglycemia is associated with diabetes. A characteristic of early type 2 diabetes is delayed insulin peak. Delayed insulin peak causes a mismatch between the blood glucose peak and insulin peak. Insulin peak occurs only after the blood glucose peak. Some diabetics will show hypoglycemia before the next meal. Many people with type 2 diabetes first show hypoglycemia, so they come to the hospital and find diabetes.
