What diseases can high anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies cause

Increased anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies are very common in clinical settings. When anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies alone or combined with elevated TG-AB levels are encountered, attention will be paid to other indicators of thyroid function, including free T3 and free T4. If the indicators are normal, only the increase in antibody levels may indicate autoimmune thyroiditis.
