Mild cholecystitis is usually not contagious.
Mild cholecystitis is acute and chronic inflammation of the gallbladder. Although mild cholecystitis is mostly caused by bacterial infection, it is usually caused by biliary obstruction, such as in patients with biliary stones, due to biliary obstruction, resulting in cholestasis, allowing bacteria to multiply in it, thus triggering an inflammatory reaction, not directly caused by bacterial infection. In addition, mild cholecystitis is different from other infectious diseases, such as pneumonia, viral hepatitis, etc., and will not be transmitted through respiratory droplets, faecal-mouth and other ways, so mild cholecystitis is generally not contagious.
