Causes of blindness

Blindness is not related to trauma, cataract, glaucoma and other reasons.

1. Trauma

patients due to trauma injury to the eyeball, or occipital fracture, skull fracture involving sphenoid damage to the optic nerve, can occur blindness.

2. Cataract

patients due to aging, genetic, immune and metabolic abnormalities and other reasons caused by cataract, lens opacity, continuous development of the disease can occur blindness.

3. Glaucoma

patients due to trabecular meshwork aqueous humor drainage system lesions, angle tissue development abnormalities and other reasons caused by elevated intraocular pressure lead to glaucoma, progressive optic nerve damage, not timely treatment can lead to blindness.
