Blindness is blindness. Bulbous conjunctivitis generally does not lead to blindness.
Bulbous conjunctivitis refers to a delayed allergic reaction of conjunctival epithelial cells. In most cases, it is caused by factors such as decreased resistance, microbial infection and diabetes. It is easy to cause conjunctival congestion, foreign body sensation and tears. In severe cases, it involves the cornea and may lead to decreased vision. Generally, it does not cause blindness. Because the human eye sees primarily through the cornea, lens, and vitreous to the retina, and the conjunctiva is not part of the transparent refractive system, inflammation of the conjunctiva does not cause blindness.
