What is pancreatic necrosis?

Guiding you towards a healthier tomorrow.
Pancreatic necrosis is a condition in which pancreatic tissue is severely damaged and dies.
Pancreatic necrosis is usually associated with pancreatitis, where pancreatic tissue is affected by inflammation and ischemia, causing pancreatic dysfunction. Pancreatic necrosis can be divided into two types, including acute pancreatic necrosis and chronic pancreatic necrosis. Acute pancreatic necrosis is caused by severe acute pancreatitis and is generally associated with increased enzyme activity in the pancreas, pancreatic ischemia, biliary stones, etc. Chronic pancreatic necrosis is caused by multiple episodes of acute pancreatitis. After years of repeated attacks, it leads to fibrosis and necrosis of pancreatic tissue.
Treatment methods for pancreatic necrosis include general treatment, drug treatment, and surgical treatment.
1. General treatment
If the condition is acute, temporary fasting should be observed. Pay attention to changes in the condition and monitor vital signs.
2. Drug treatment
consult a doctor and use drugs such as ofloxacin injection and cefradine for injection for anti-inflammatory treatment.
3. Surgical treatment
If the drug treatment effect is not good, necrotic tissue removal may be needed to remove necrotic tissue and drain fluid.
