The difference between melanoma and nevus is mainly in different shapes, colors, sizes, and changes.
1. The shape of nevus
is usually regular, round or oval; the shape of melanoma is irregular, and the edges may be irregular, notched, or serrated.
2. The
color of nevus is often uniform, mostly tan, black, and other single colors; the color of melanoma is usually uneven, and may be mixed with a variety of colors, such as black, brown, red, white, and even blue.
3. The size of nevus is
generally small, usually less than 6 mm in diameter; melanoma may be larger, and the diameter continues to increase.
4. The change of
