Chronic Periodontitis Treatment

Chronic periodontitis requires treatment. It is caused by microbial infection. Patients will experience bleeding and loose teeth. Clinically, it is mainly treated with dental calculus removal, dental plaque removal and antibacterial anti-inflammatory drugs. If conservative treatment fails or periodontal pockets are larger than 5 mm, surgical treatment should be considered.
