Overview of ovarian serous carcinoma

Your health, my commitment.
Serous ovarian cancer is one of the most common types of epithelial ovarian cancer.
The exact etiology of ovarian serous cancer is not fully understood, but it may be related to the interaction of genetic factors, hormone levels, continuous ovulation stimulation, environmental factors, and lifestyle factors. Because early symptoms are not obvious, they are often overlooked. Patients may present with mild abdominal distension, abdominal pain, or pelvic discomfort. These symptoms lack specificity and are easily confused with other gynecological diseases.
Surgery is the main treatment, including comprehensive staged surgery or tumor cell reduction surgery, where tumor tissue is removed as much as possible. Adjuvant therapy such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy is often combined after surgery to improve efficacy and reduce recurrence. For advanced or recurrent patients, targeted therapy and immunotherapy are gradually applied clinically.
