CT showed tiny nodules in the lungs. What's going on?

Your well-being is my top priority.
CT scan shows small nodules in the lungs, generally related to environmental factors, lung infection, malignant tumors and other factors.
1. Environmental factors
Long-term exposure to polluted environment, inhalable fine particles in the air, leading to chronic inflammation of lung tissue, can form small nodules.
2. Lung infection
Lung infection, such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, etc., may lead to inflammation of lung tissue, forming granuloma or fibrosis, these lesions may appear as small nodules on CT.
3. Malignant tumors
Early lung cancer or other types of malignant tumors may appear as small nodules in the lungs, especially ground-glass nodules or solid nodules, usually related to abnormal proliferation of cancer cells.
