What is the difference between breast cystic mass and cyst?

Cyst is usually referred to as breast cyst. Breast cystic mass and breast cyst belong to the same disease, there is no difference between the two.

Breast cystic mass and breast cyst are different names for the same disease, clinically usually called breast cyst. Breast cyst is a round or oval, fluid-filled cystic mass in the breast, soft in texture, with elasticity. Breast cyst is usually caused by abnormal degeneration of breast lobules, generally related to factors such as breast dysplasia and mastitis. For early patients, due to the relatively small cyst volume, there may be no obvious discomfort. However, as the cyst volume gradually increases, or secondary infection, breast pain, redness and other symptoms may occur.
