What is areola pain?

Breast pain is considered to be caused by trauma, hyperplasia of mammary glands, mastitis and other factors.

1. Injury to the

areola site will lead to local soft tissue damage, causing local pain.

2. Hyperplasia of mammary glands

is a common breast disease, mainly manifested as breast lumps and pain. After illness, it will lead to breast pain, which may cause pain in the areola area in severe cases.

3. Mastitis

Acute mastitis is mostly caused by bacterial infection or mammary duct blockage. Continued stimulation of inflammation will cause breast redness, fever, pain and other symptoms, sometimes causing areola pain.
