Normal value of amniotic fluid index in third trimester

Under normal circumstances, the amniotic fluid index should be around 8-18 cm in the third trimester of pregnancy. If the amniotic fluid index is greater than 18 cm, it indicates polyhydramnios and needs to reduce the intake of soup foods. If the amniotic fluid index is less than 5 cm, it indicates oligohydramnios and needs to drink more soy milk and other foods to promote amniotic fluid production.
